La Spiaggia di Calamosche si trova tra i resti archeologici di Eloro e l’oasi faunistica di Vendicari. Nel 2005 è stata insignita dalla Guida Blu di Legambiente del titolo di “Spiaggia più bella d’Italia”. Non è facilmente raggiungibile in quanto bisogna percorrere un lungo tratto con l’auto e a piedi; anche per questo segna una scarsa affluenza di visitatori. Il fascino della spiaggia è dovuto alla varietà della vegetazione e alla presenza di un panorama altrettanto vario: la piccola spiaggia si trova infatti tra due promontori rocciosi che, oltre a far sì che il mare sia quasi sempre calmo, offrono al visitatore una bellezza inaspettata. Un’altra caratteristica della spiaggia è la presenza di numerosi anfratti, cavità e grotticelle nei due promontori. Per raggiungerla basta percorrere la strada provinciale 19 (Noto-Pachino) e svoltare a sinistra (seguendo l’indicazione “Spiaggia Calamosche”). Calamosche beach is located between the archaeological remains of Eloro and the Natural Reserve of Vendicari. In 2005 it was honored with the title of “Most beautiful beach in Italy” by the Blue Guide of Legambiente. It is not easily accessible as you need to travel a long distance by car and on foot. The allure of the beach is due to the variety of vegetation and the landscape: the small beach is located between two rocky promontories which ensure that the sea is almost always calm, offering visitors an unexpected beauty. Another feature of the beach is the presence of numerous caves in the two headlands. To get there just follow the main road SP19 (Noto-Pachino) and turn left (following the sign “Spiaggia Calamosche”).
