Noto Antica: la Pompei Siciliana
Noto Antica è l’antico abitato di Noto. Circondata da imponenti mura (molte delle quali ancora in piedi) e da profonde vallate, non fu mai presa con la forza e si arrese solo al violento terremoto del 1693 che la rase al suolo.
Oggi è possibile visitarne i resti e riviverne l’antico splendore attraverso un tour interattivo di ricostruzioni dei principali siti d’interesse come il Castello, la Chiesa di San Michele, la Chiesa dei Gesuiti, la Chiesa del Carmine e la Piazza Maggiore.
Inoltre è possibile visitare la collina della memoria “Menorah”, la necropoli Ebraica di Noto Antica, con la “Grotta del Carciofo” e la “Grotta delle bocche”.

Noto Antica is the ancient town, at about 15 km from Noto, in the Alveria Mountain. You can visit the remains of the town destroyed by the earthquake of 1693 and enjoy an interactive 3D tour of its main sites. At the end of the guided tour you can swim into the lakes of Cava Carosello.

Noto Antica est la vieille ville, qui se trouvait dans le Mont Alveria, à 15 Km de Noto, avant le tremblement de terre du 1693.
Vous pouvez visiter ses ruines et profiter d’une reconstruction virtuelle 3D. A la fin du tour il y a la possibilité de se baigner dans les petits lacs chèz Cava Carosello.
